slow down 02:44
"In this great war of freedom; yet I pray, think what he is -- a dreamer from his birth." Dreams ought to be seen first as a sketch pad to explore unrestrained immorality: the skeleton of a cow, on the verge of exploding, on the verge of some new awareness; a tortoise in tiger skins, eating a live snake, may be analogous to a waking situation. There was something of a time holding on to things; 1 minute and 52 seconds of footage being pulled in two different directions. To see a manatee who is lazy, deviating from menial work, lacking ambition and drive, carrying burdens, driving people away or turning them off -- it is the most restless force of nature, running wild and free, curiously like TV: dreaming of a leopard, secretly plotting against others. Is life much more exciting right now? The trees have responded immediately, stagger a bit farther than usual, getting into a rut. But they can move to a different location and become forgetful. The ground in dreams, a hazard that attracts intoxicated people, no longer provides a precise ability to explore and navigate through any obstacles; comfort will come about through caves full of flowers. A walrus that may be too big to handle has declared the presence of food trucks. Time, narrow as old ways of thinking, heading straight for disaster. Should it be allowed to die? Be more careful: let everything out. There is some potentially destructive emotion navigating through the balance of minor irritations and annoyances: the terrifying aspect of hostility amongst friends, uncivilized aspects of a voice that would put boundaries on what you become; starting to think about how to make the familiar strange, protect a vulnerable public space and gum up the streets, an innocent attempt to give birth to spirit children. The entire mystery can be given in very few words: slow down and BE MORE CAREFUL.

"We, as living in wakeful world-consciousness, are constantly active on the basis of our passive having of the world..." Most people go about their daily lives perfectly surrounded by yellow rays of disease, mood and viability. The fragmentation of consciousness, that background on which all things appear as themselves and meaningful -- an eternal state of oblivion, a category of experience quite distinct from ordinary. It means much more than just clear or vivid; dreaming and waking consciousness differ only in their respective level of expectations... Daydreaming can be constructive; sleep architecture permeates all plants, animals, and humans. Bear in mind emotions can be equated with energy, the direction and shape of trees, the healing of broken bones. People are sometimes called lightning flowers, are therefore empty and have no substantial nature. Lack of awareness is believed by some to occur after death. When the brain dies, the mind ceases to exist. The brain creates the mind: patterns in fixed dust. "In a sound Sleep sometimes, or in a Swoon, we cease to think at all."

"Earth rears her flowers for us no more; a half-remembered dream are we." Lose those quiet spaces, or fill them up. Commercial life represents a small lapse in judgment, is being called into question, is based upon hundreds of real dreams, has been meticulously researched to explain ourselves to ourselves, to scatter our attention, to mediate our understanding of the physical world, the unconscious, a transitional phase toward independence. To see a kid in a meadow denotes spending too much time hiding in the shadows of certain minor issues, being manipulated, looking for some form of acceptance. It's also important to note that there is something nagging at time and energy: a clear timeline, something that could easily have occurred in a different way? Anything can happen; really, anything can happen, something that can easily get out of control; things could easily go wrong, fresh circumstances freshly born. To make the world larger: a constellation of voices, another round of teeth, a sequence of primal instincts and reactions toward sex, food, etc. Food can help: see mice feeding or eating, cultural capital in a big university library surrounded by commercial life, something that is beyond fears, choices, and beliefs. Who can truly identify the cause of feeling disconnected? A word that is often used, born backward, trying to reject and push back the images and feelings of varying degrees of severity, being "in" the world but not of it; wild inner nature, putting up walls between the unconscious itself, or some other repressed desire. The gift of convincing people to see things, the ability to see the light even in someone who is ruthless, insensitive and treacherous, simply in a bad mood or completely separate from the collective ideals of society, unwilling to confront some painful and disturbing aspect of undiscovered public knowledge; half the human race is delusional, filled with the conceit of "intellectual property." As a basis for division, obey others without question. Let others step all over instinctive dynamism that may delve deeper and uncover what is going on: clothes wet and soiled, while rugs made of tiger skins are spending too much time having difficulties in navigating a small town.

windows 03:10
There is a window of experience between sanity and coma in which self-control is lost, and the body behaves on its own; it is a mind/body disconnect that occurs during sleep -- pedagogical short-comings: the brain mainly works with signals from itself to carry the dreamer, intoxicating an individual away from common sense toward private logic. Conventional wisdom on how to approach the problem is wrong. Centuries ago, dreams would prepare humans for recognizing and avoiding danger; in some of the earliest societies, the dream world was regarded as an extension of reality. The people of that time relied on their dreams for solutions: the dream, when told, may communicate something that is not being said outright -- the integration of new information into existing knowledge. At least 95% of all dreams are not remembered. The opossum and the armadillo are among the most prolific dreamers. They are merely special cases of a more general phenomenon: a world that subjects may experience together, may be conceived as a universe of what is self-evident or given -- more closely connected to senses other than hearing and activities other than speaking and writing: the actions in the waking world, the reduplicative hallucination of seeing one's own body at a distance -- paralysis is a necessary part. The results are then sketched or photographed to create a record of the breakdown process, to gain insight into a hidden rule built into the intensity of dream hallucinations. Figures may also appear on the skin of lightning strike victims. It also occurs through pragmatic negotiations, is activated even though the experience is still hallucinatory; pool of perceiving, time perception while counting to spontaneously create the goddess of hallucination. Self-similarity has important consequences; sleep can facilitate insightful behavior and flexible reasoning. Dreams regulate mood, the spontaneous production of often purposeless verbal or motor behavior without conscious self-control or self-censorship. Failing to recall waking, fascinated by the world of dreams, the field as a blueprint -- as a whole -- disappears before physical death. A terminating procedure depends on the nature of the maze: it must not allow dreamers to communicate.

"In the past man has been first," he declared; "in the future the system must be first." The world we live in is only getting more complicated; empty warheads grinning. We are being outfoxed by those who think least and think little of us. It's hard, but it's also automatic. Consider the notions associated with taking advantage of written word: setting an animal free, the power to expand as a person. It suggests that a line of communication has been established between the conscious and unconscious aspects of manipulation, not even mentioning the hidden threat of fighting with an animal; to flee or retreat might provide some insight into distinct qualities and roles in every culture on earth. It is extremely lucky to have had imagined talking about and playing with only 30% of their worlds, formed habitually as a substitute for those experiences, ideas and images that we were unable to imagine; a transformation from noise suggests that there is sound stretch: difficult times want to appear to people, are open and expressive while we're awake; to see through to their true intentions may affect our dreams more fully; sitting, always there, especially during difficult times. Perhaps certain secrets will be revealed, used to carry, not to limit. To dream of having is tantamount to avoiding capture. "A thousand idle rivulets start to speed, and with the graver murmur of the storm blend their light voices as they hurry on..."

within walls 02:14
To change our reality, we would have to change ourselves. The world has become less real, countable and uncountable -- something made by reducing damage within walls. A transformation of one problem into another problem (the intention of removing what is perceived) and leaving a heightened sense of self-worth, a series of impressions having no relation with any other thing; the consciousness of others (those who breathe) to keep silence; the process of removing noise (questions regarding what you can and can't do), the state of being, condition of being, considered to be nothing: this idea of an individual having the ability to benefit the whole, indirectly; the practice of avoiding contact: a measure taken -- an abrupt change in body position. It's important to be alert. Explain to children the dangers of snakes under storm; keep their teeth sharp, a necessity for human animal. Specifically there were practitioners of the technique that said of a mesmerized person: "the person is back animal," meaning "the person is back in a natural mental state where she/he recovers his/her most primitive part of the mind." If one would take complete responsibility for one's life, then everything one sees, hears, tastes, touches, or in any way experiences would be one's own responsibility. Don't get caught.

about

Combining found/collage writing with guitar/vocal loops and blown-out spoken word, "commercial life" aims to analyze and ostracize contemporary American culture, blending themes of pop science with fictional fact, smashed against simple truths we often ignore in everyday life. Meant to be listened to while reading along in tandem.

Download includes PDF of all six collage prose pieces.
